Your Question = God's Elaborate Answer

When you ask God for bread, He shows you He owns the bread factory!

GM. This is Soul Food. We pluck the ripest stories from the bible Tree of News. No ladder needed.

🚀🚀🚀 Here’s what we’re exploring today:

When Saul went looking for his father's donkeys, he met some ladies at the well. Simple question: "Is the seer here?" Yes or no would've sufficed.

But here's where it gets good!

Instead of a basic "yes," these women gave Saul the full download. They told him:

  • Exactly where Samuel was

  • What he was doing

  • When to find him

  • How to approach him

They basically handed him a GPS route with turn-by-turn directions when all he asked for was a yes or no!

This is classic God behaviour. We ask for the minimum, He delivers the maximum. We need directions, He provides the entire roadmap. We ask for bread, He owns the bakery.

Remember in Ruth 3 when Boaz gave Ruth six ephahs of barley? Not because that's all he had—the man owned fields upon fields—but because that's all she could carry. The supply always exceeds the demand.

But here's the key: Saul had to ask. He had to take action. He didn't sit at home hoping the donkeys would wander back. He got up, went out, and opened his mouth.

You might be praying for a yes or no answer right now. A job decision. A relationship question. A financial choice. Ask God—but prepare yourself. He's not coming with just your answer. He's coming with the where, the when, the how, and probably a few bonuses you didn't even know you needed.

Our God doesn't do bare minimum. He does Ephesians 3:20—exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or think.

So ask. Take action. Move forward. Your "yes or no" is about to become so much more.

🔑🔑🔑 Key takeaways:

  • God consistently gives us more than we ask for—not just meeting our needs but exceeding them

  • Taking action and asking questions positions us to receive God's abundant provision

  • We often ask for the minimum (yes/no answers) when God wants to give us the maximum (full guidance and direction)
