🗺️🗺️🗺️ Here’s what’s on the map today:

When we think of King David from the Bible, we often picture a majestic king—or know him as the man after God’s own heart. But before all that, David was the young boy who defeated Goliath with a sling and a stone. Even before he ever wore a crown or faced a giant, David was a shepherd, quietly and diligently tending sheep in the fields.

The Bible tells us there is only one mention of David using his sling—and that is to kill Goliath. But there are three mentions of David playing the harp. His music wasn’t just for performance—it was praise.

Every time David played the harp, he was worshipping God. Every time he used the sling, it symbolised David taking action and fighting his own battles. And yet, the Bible records more moments of David praising than fighting.

The point is this: the more time you spend in praise, the less time you’ll need to spend in battle. David didn’t win victories because he was strong—he won because his praise was his greatest weapon, even before the battle started. His heart was full of worship.

So if you’re unsure of what to do today—if there’s a quiet moment in your schedule or a time of uncertainty—praise God. Offer Him a song, a prayer, or a word of thanks. The more you praise, the less you’ll need to fight. Let praise be your greatest advantage, just like it was for David.

🔑🔑🔑 Key takeaways:

  • David praised more than he fought—and still won.

  • Worship invites God into your battles before they begin.

  • A heart full of praise is more powerful than a hand full of weapons.
