Who are you really serving?
If you knew they were angels, would you serve differently?
GM. This is Soul Food, we keep our eyes sharp and our Bibles sharper.
π‘π‘π‘ Here's what's on the radar today:
If you knew your manager was God, would you show up differently? Of course you would.
Hebrews 13:2 tells us not to neglect hospitality to strangers, because some have entertained angels without knowing it. The person in front of you could be an angel. The difficult colleague. The demanding client. The stranger on the street.
But here is the thing. Whether they are an angel or not, Colossians 3:23 makes it simple: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."
You are not serving a table, a client or a boss. You are serving Jesus. The waiter, the accountant, the cleaner, the CEO - the audience is the same. Jesus.
When you reframe who you are serving, the standard changes. Excellence becomes the floor, not the ceiling.
Serve like He is watching. Because He is.
πππ Key takeaways:
Whatever you do, do it as if you are doing it for Jesus.
Raise your standard. Your real audience is God.
You may be serving angels without even knowing it.
