Every human being lives in one of two realities:

• In Adam - representing the fallen nature of humanity after the first man.

• In Christ - representing the redeemed nature of those who have placed their faith in Jesus.

When you put your faith in Jesus, you are translated from Adam to Christ. Your spiritual habitat changes completely.

Just as the habitat of a fish is water - and it cannot function normally outside of it - so the habitat of every Christian is Christ. We are designed to live, move, and function in Him.

Therefore, each of us must know and understand the realities that exist within the location that is Christ.

When the Scriptures say you are in Christ, it means more than being associated with Him. Christ is not only a person, it is an office and a location. To be in Christ means you are immersed in His person, submitted under His office, and positioned within His realm.

Everything that is true of Christ has become true of us:

• When He died, we died.

• When He rose, we rose.

• When He ascended, we ascended and were seated with Him in heavenly places.

As Scripture declares, "As He is, so are we in this world." (1 John 4:17).
