Genesis 43:16 says “When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house, “Bring the men into the house, and slaughter an animal and make ready, for the men are to dine with me at noon.”

Notice this all took place at the sight of Benjamin. It does not say, after Benjamin had worked all day, after he finished the task in front of him, no, it was based on the sight of Benjamin. It was not earned, it was not deserved, instead Benjamin just showed up.

We are the Benjamin’s - we don’t earn it, we don’t deserve it but at our sight we enter into God’s house, we eat meat at his table and we rest with Him. The house of God is waiting for you. The key to getting in is showing up - you are the password, the God in you is the key to eternal life.

What’s better is that Joseph’s brothers came to Egypt to buy grain. Grain is used to make bread. But at the sight of Benjamin Joseph said to slaughter an animal meaning they were going to eat meat. Imagine that, if you go to a restaurant to get a glass of water but you leave with a meal at no extra cost. That’s a very good deal!

When you go to God He will provide for you and do so in abundance. More than you deserve and more than you expect! In fact He will do it regardless of the circumstances, traditions, or obstacles.

When they served the food they did so with Joseph, the Egyptians and Benjamin alongside his brothers in the room. But it was Benjamin that got fives times more than anyone else in the room. Even if they Egyptians who saw him and disliked him had to accept that Benjamin received five times more than anyone else.

There is nothing that can stop the favour of God and no place to hard or too dark for the favour of God to shine.
