Stop Limiting God's Solutions
Stop expecting God to work within the limits of your past.
GM. This is Soul Food where we unpack the Bible like a well-packed suitcase - everything has its place, nothing gets left behind.
β β β Here's what's on the agenda today:
In Deuteronomy 8:16, Moses reminds the Israelites that God fed them with manna in the wilderness, a food unknown to their ancestors. Let that land for a second. Unknown to their ancestors.
Meaning God provided in a way nobody before them had ever seen. No playbook. No precedent. No Google search with a previous answer.
Here is the trap we fall into: we limit God's solutions to the solutions we have already seen. We scan our history, look at what worked before, and expect God to operate within those same four walls. But God is not bounded by your past experience or anyone else's.
When you are facing a problem, a financial pressure, a career question, or a relationship challenge, do not just look left and right at what others have done. God can provide in ways that are completely new. Ways that would have made your grandparents raise an eyebrow.
Manna was not in the recipe book. Neither is what God has for you.
Stop limiting the solution to what you have already seen. God specialises in the unknown.
πππ Key takeaways:
God provides in ways that are new, unknown and beyond what has come before.
Do not limit your expectation of God's provision to what you have previously seen or experienced.
God is not constrained by history. He is always doing something new.
