Protected in Danger
Your nearness to danger never removes His protection
GM. This is Soul Food, your no-nonsense guide in the bible world – we keep it clear, concise, and directly to the point.
☀️☀️☀️ Here’s the forecast today:
In Judges 7, God tells Gideon to slip down to the enemy camp and listen. What happens next is powerful. Gideon gets so close to the enemy that he can hear their conversations. He is near danger, near trouble, near the very thing that has been intimidating Israel for years. Yet nothing touches him.
This is the point. Proximity to trouble does not mean absence of God. In fact, God is the one who sent Gideon close. Why? Because God planned to encourage him right in the place that looked the most threatening.
When Gideon overhears the dream and its interpretation, he realises God has already gone ahead of him. The fear that once controlled him is replaced with boldness. He worships, stands up, and steps out with confidence.
Sometimes in life we find ourselves close to situations that feel risky or overwhelming. But closeness to trouble is not something to fear when God is the one leading you. He positions you near the noise so you can hear His encouragement. He lets you see the threat so you can witness His protection. And He brings you close to the problem so He can show you the victory that is already yours.
🔑🔑🔑 Key takeaways:
God can encourage you even in the places that look dangerous.
Being close to trouble does not mean you are unprotected.
God positions you near challenges to reveal His victory.
