Prepare Your Ask

God responds to bold asking

I was once told something thats stuck with me: always prepare your ask.

Always know what you would ask for if the moment presented itself. Because opportunities often arrive quietly, unexpectedly, and without warning.

Many people wait until they are face to face with opportunity to decide what they want. By then, hesitation creeps in. Doubt takes over. The moment passes.

Jesus makes this clear in Matthew 7:7–8: β€œAsk, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.”

Notice the order. Asking comes first. But asking requires clarity. You cannot ask boldly for what you have never prepared for privately.

Preparation builds confidence. When the door opens, you are not scrambling. You are steady. You know your ask. You know your why. And you have the courage to speak.

Faith is not passive. Faith prepares. Faith asks. Faith knocks.

Prepare your ask in prayer. Write it down. Carry it with you. And when the moment comes, do not hold back. Ask boldly.

  • Preparation positions you for opportunity

  • Clarity gives confidence when it is time to ask

  • Faith requires both readiness and boldness
