Positioned on Purpose
You might not feel worthy, but God’s already made space for you in His plan.
GM. This is Soul Food. The newsletter that's like a Nerf gun battle – fast, fun, and action-packed.
🌶️🌶️🌶️ Here’s the sauce:
In a world that had gone off course — full of violence, chaos and corruption — Noah stood out. Not because he was perfect. Not because he had it all together. But because he found favour.
Genesis 6:8 says, “But Noah found favour with the Lord.”
This verse doesn’t say Noah earned it. It says he found it — as in, it was already there, waiting for him. In the original Hebrew, the word favour used here means grace, kindness, undeserved favour.
Noah’s story starts with grace, not achievement. Before he built the ark, before he obeyed the details, before any flood — there was favour.
God Uses Imperfect People for Strategic Purpose
We often imagine that the people God chooses must have spotless records — but that’s not what the Bible shows us. Later in Noah’s story (Genesis 9), he plants a vineyard, gets drunk, and makes mistakes.
God knew Noah’s humanity — and still trusted him with history-shifting responsibility. That’s how grace works. It doesn’t ignore flaws — it works through them.
Why It Matters Today
We’re still building arks in our time — not wooden boats, but lives, businesses, platforms, families, movements. And just like Noah, we may not feel ready. We may not feel worthy.
But God’s not looking for perfection — He’s looking for people who will trust Him enough to say yes. You might not fully understand the assignment, but you’ve been positioned on purpose.
🔑🔑🔑 Key takeaways:
God’s favour is not earned — it’s found.
Grace doesn’t wait for perfection; it works through our humanity.
You’re positioned on purpose, even if you don’t feel ready.
