Looking for Donkeys, Found a Destiny: When God Exceeds Expectations

Opportunity doesn’t always look like what you expect – here’s why you shouldn’t dismiss the small things.

GM. This is Soul Food where we leave you with lean, prime cuts of the bible. Here’s what we’re serving up today.

📈📈📈 Here’s what’s in stock today:

When Saul was looking for his donkeys he was told to find the seer, Prophet Samuel, and while he was looking for him he asked a random man. This man so happened to be Prophet Samuel but Saul did not know.

Point being that Saul walked into what he was looking for but did not realise it. Often times what we are looking for does not like what we expected it to look like.

Sometimes opportunity does not look like opportunity, instead it may look like work or long hours.

It is important not to dismiss these opportunities. Instead pray and believe that God guides you through your heart.

If that wasnt enough, Saul was looking for his donkeys to bring back to his father, but Samuel was looking for a king. From this we learn that God can use those small things in your life that you think are insignificant to lead you to places where you will have great influence.

Never dismiss the mundane, instead do it and do it with excellence.

🔑🔑🔑 Key takeaways:

  • Sometimes God delivers what we pray and ask for in a format differnt to what we expect.

  • What God has for us is better than what we could have imagined.
