Let God Lead

Go All In!

GM. This is Soul Food. We share the Bible like a well worn map, guiding you step by step into deeper ground.

πŸ—ΊοΈπŸ—ΊοΈπŸ—ΊοΈ Here’s what’s on the map today:

In Ezekiel 47, the prophet is led from the temple towards a river flowing from the presence of God. At first, the water is only ankle deep. Then it reaches the knees. Then the waist. Finally, it becomes a river so deep that it cannot be crossed, only entered and carried by.

This progression mirrors how many of us engage with God. Ankle deep faith feels safe. It is controlled, comfortable, and familiar. Knee deep faith begins to require trust, but you can still steady yourself. Waist deep faith starts to limit your movement, where surrender becomes unavoidable.

But God does not stop there.

The river eventually becomes something you cannot control. You are no longer standing in it, you are carried by it. This is the invitation of Ezekiel 47. Not to remain in shallow waters where you decide the depth, but to step fully into what God is doing and allow Him to lead.

God’s plans are not designed for occasional dipping in. They are meant for full immersion. The goodness of God is not something to sample cautiously, but something to surrender to completely.

Do not settle for ankle deep living when there is a river ready to carry you.

πŸ”‘πŸ”‘πŸ”‘ Key takeaways:

  • God invites us from control into surrender.

  • Shallow faith feels safe, deep faith changes direction.

  • Full immersion allows God to lead, not us.
