God is Always With You
God’s love doesn’t abandon you, even when you feel lost
GM. This is Soul Food. The bible newsletter that's as enlightening as finally understanding the offside rule in football.
🌶️🌶️🌶️ Here’s the sauce:
To set the scene, Elijah is running away from Jezebel, and he spends the night in a cave. God says to him, “What are you doing here?” I love this because for God to say to someone, “What are you doing here?” it must mean that God is close by. But notice where Elijah is—he is hiding in a cave because he is scared of Jezebel. So it’s fair to say that Elijah is outside the will of God.
This means that no matter what you have done wrong, how much you’ve failed, or how much you may have hurt someone, God is always close by. The Bible tells us that He will never leave us or forsake us, and that truth is still the same today. So today, know that God is with you—in the good times and in the bad times, He is with you. You can never run too far or mess up too much for His love not to find you.
🔑🔑🔑 Key takeaways:
No matter where you are or how far you’ve strayed, God’s presence is always close.
Elijah’s story reminds us that God never leaves or forsakes us, even when we feel lost or afraid.
God’s love is unconditional—you can never run too far or fail too much for Him to stop loving you.
