Dreams Are God’s Direction—Discover Why They Matter

Your Dreams Matter: Here’s Why You Should Go After Them

GM. This is Soul Food. Your morning bible chuckle. Because a day without laughter is a day wasted.

🥞🥞🥞 Here’s what we’re serving up

In the story of Joseph, there are six dreams. I won’t list them here, but six dreams in one story means only one thing: Dreams. Are. Important!

God made us not just to dream, but to go after, achieve, and live our dreams. So here is why it is important to have dreams:

  1. Dreams give you direction. This means you know where you want to go. There’s a quote that says, “A boat without a direction is at the mercy of every wind.” You need to know where you want to go, otherwise you will go nowhere!

  2. Dreams give you purpose. Notice purpose and direction are different. I’ve watched many YouTube videos on how to wake up early, and they all say one thing in common: you need to have a strong why. Do you want to wake up early to read your Bible, exercise, etc.? Whatever your why is, it must be strong! Purpose is your reason for doing things.

  3. Dreams push you outside of your comfort zone. Only outside of our comfort zone can we grow, develop, and become the best version of ourselves. When you run a marathon, those last miles are the hardest, but the grit and persistence you learn will extend to other areas of life, such as relationships or business.

So my question for you is: Do you have dreams? If the answer is no, now is the time to start!

🔑🔑🔑 Key takeaways:

  • Dreams provide direction: Without a clear vision, you risk drifting aimlessly.

  • Dreams give purpose: A strong “why” fuels motivation and action.

  • Dreams foster growth: True growth happens when you step out of your comfort zone.
