Don't Park Up
God can't steer a parked car.
GM. This is Soul Food where we serve the Bible hot and fresh - no reheating, no leftovers, just straight from the source.
πππ Here's what we're serving up today:
Here is something worth noting. When Jesus called His disciples, He did not go to the synagogue. He did not stand at the temple gates looking for the most religious person in the room. He went to the lake. He went to the tax booth. He found people mid-task, mid-shift, mid-life.
Matthew, Peter, Andrew, James, John. All working. All moving. All doing something. There is a quote I love: "God can't steer a parked car." And the disciples are the proof. God is not looking for the most polished person; He is looking for the most available one. The one who is already in motion.
This does not mean you need to have it all figured out. You do not. Neither did they. Peter still doubted. Thomas still questioned. But they were moving, and that gave God something to work with.
So if you are in a season of uncertainty, keep going. Take the next step, even if you cannot see the full staircase. God does not need you to have arrived, He just needs you to keep moving. Keep your feet moving and let God do the steering.
πππ Key takeaways:
God uses people who are already in motion. You do not need all the answers, you just need to keep taking steps forward.
Availability matters more than perfection. The disciples were not the most qualified, they were the most willing.
In a season of uncertainty, take the next step. God can work with motion.
