Don't Go Thirsty

Daily dependence on God is not weakness, it is wisdom.

GM. This is Soul Food. We share bible knowledge like passing down a family recipe - with care, tradition, and a pinch of secret spice.

πŸ“‘πŸ“‘πŸ“‘ Here's what's on the radar today:

Psalms 42:1 says, "As a deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God."

A deer cannot survive more than two or three days without water. That is not a long time. That is barely the weekend.

The point being is that this is exactly how we should long for God. Not as a Sunday thing. Not as a "when things go wrong" thing. Every. Single. Day.

To think we can handle a day without God is not independence, it is pride. And pride is just self-reliance with a better outfit on.

The deer does not debate whether it needs water. It does not schedule water for Tuesday. It longs for it because without it, it does not make it.

That is the posture. That is the goal.

Start your day with God. End your day with God. Do not try and squeeze a day in between without Him.

You are the deer. God is the water. Do not go thirsty.

πŸ”‘πŸ”‘πŸ”‘ Key takeaways:

  • Longing for God daily is not optional, it is survival.

  • To think you can do life without God is pride dressed up as confidence.

  • Make God the first thing, not the last resort.
