Creative Mathematics: When God Multiplies the Impossible
Stop limiting God—His blessings are far more than you expect!
GM. This is Soul Food. The newsletter that’s like a surprise party for your brain!
🚀🚀🚀 Here’s what we’re exploring today:
In Genesis 44:1: “Then he (Joseph) commanded the steward of his house, ‘Fill the men’s sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put each man’s money in the mouth of his sack.’”
Let’s break this down → So we have Joseph, who in this context reflects Jesus—a giver, a provider in times of famine, and someone who was sold by his brothers but showed forgiveness towards them.
Then we have his brothers, who were the ones that sold him. Years later, they have come to buy food from Joseph during a worldwide famine.
In any transaction, you get what you pay for. You buy two pizzas, you get two pizzas. But Joseph doesn’t do basic maths like that, and neither does God. You see, they practise more creative mathematics.
In God’s economy, you buy two pizzas, but you leave with more pizzas than you can carry, plus you also leave with your pizza money too.
Notice, what God gives you is not based on how much you give to Him. It is based on God’s supply, which is endless. Joseph didn’t give back based on how much his brothers paid; he gave based on how much they could carry.
This means the limitation is not on the supply side but rather on our side. God is only limited by us—our thinking, believing, and speaking.
The supply is there. Sometimes, it’s a case of not feeling guilty about receiving something you haven’t worked for. Other times, it could be a case of not thinking big enough. Either way, the limitation is what we see in the mirror, not who we praise!
Make today a day of more than you can carry!
🔑🔑🔑 Key takeaways:
God’s blessings are not based on what we give but on His infinite supply.
Our limitations come from our thinking, beliefs, and mindset, not God’s supply.
Learn to receive without guilt or small thinking—God gives in abundance.
