Courage Opens Doors

Fear closes. Courage opens wide.

GM. This is Soul Food. We deliver the Bible like a great takeaway: hot, fresh, and straight to your door.

🌢🌢🌢 Here's the sauce for today:

Joshua does not hesitate. When he sees the commander of the Lord's army, he walks straight up and asks, "Are you for us or for our enemies?" (Joshua 5:13). No trembling. No hiding. Pure boldness.

Now flip the coin. Jericho. When the people of Jericho heard about the Israelites, they shut their gates. Tightly. No one in, no one out. Fear had closed them in completely.

Here is the contrast: courage opens you up. Fear closes you in.

Fear is a gate-closer. It shuts out opportunity, relationship, purpose, and breakthrough. It makes a prison out of the very life God designed to be full and free.

But courage walks towards the unknown and asks the question anyway.

You have the spirit of Joshua inside you. Do not live a Jericho life where gates are shut, doors are bolted, and you are living small.

Have the courage to approach, to ask, and to open up. A full life is on the other side of the gate.

πŸ”‘πŸ”‘πŸ”‘ Key takeaways:

  • Fear closes you in. Courage opens you up.

  • You have the spirit of Joshua. Walk towards the unknown with boldness.

  • Do not live a Jericho life. Open the gate and step out.
