Choose Today
God is ready now, not tomorrow
GM, this is the Soul Food. The bible newsletter you can always rely on – rain, sleet, hail, or shine.
✅✅✅ Here’s what’s on the agenda today:
In Exodus 8:10, Pharaoh makes a strange request. When Moses asks when he should pray for the plague to be removed, Pharaoh replies, “Tomorrow.”
Tomorrow.
This is a man standing knee-deep in chaos, discomfort, and disruption, yet he chooses delay over deliverance. He has the option of freedom today, but he postpones it.
How often do we do the same?
We ask God to move, to heal, to restore, to break habits, to lift burdens, but we quietly add a condition. Not now. Later. Tomorrow. When life is calmer. When things make more sense. When I feel ready.
This verse exposes something uncomfortable. Sometimes what holds us back is not the size of the problem, but our tolerance for it. We get used to living with things God never asked us to manage long term.
Deliverance delayed is often deliverance doubted.
God is not only a God of tomorrow. He is a God of today. Healing today. Obedience today. Forgiveness today. Action today.
If there is something God has already given you permission to let go of, do not negotiate with it. Do not schedule your freedom.
Choose today.
🔑🔑🔑 Key takeaways:
Delayed obedience often looks spiritual but is still delay
God’s power is available now, not later
Freedom begins when we stop negotiating with tomorrow
