Celebrate Small Wins
Progress brings hope
GM. This is Soul Food, we make understanding bible as easy as tying your shoes β loop, swoop, and pull!
ποΈποΈποΈ Hereβs whatβs in stock today:
In Genesis 45:27 it says, βWhen he saw the wagons Joseph had sent to carry him, his fatherβs spirit revived.β
What I love about this moment is where Jacob is when this happens. He is still in the Promised Land. He is still in the middle of famine. Nothing about his external circumstances has changed yet. There is no food on the table, no full relief, no final breakthrough.
But his spirit revives when he sees the wagons.
Why? Because the wagons represent progress. They are evidence that what God promised is moving, even if Jacob has not arrived at the destination yet.
This is such an important lesson for us. Too often, we wait for the grand finale before allowing our hearts to lift. We wait for the job, the healing, the provision, or the breakthrough before we feel encouraged. But God often revives us with signs along the way.
Small wins matter. A conversation. A door opening. A step forward. A glimpse of movement. These are wagons in the famine.
When you see progress, let your spirit revive. Celebrate it. Thank God for it. The journey may not be finished, but the evidence that God is at work is already enough to lift your head.
πππ Key takeaways:
Progress is worth celebrating, even before the breakthrough arrives.
God often revives our spirit with small signs along the way.
Do not dismiss the wagons just because you are still in the famine.
