Born for More
Start living at the level God designed you for
GM. This is Soul Food. We pack bible insights like a suitcase for a weekend getaway β just what you need.
ποΈποΈποΈ Hereβs whatβs in stock today:
In Judges 6, Gideon is hiding in a winepress beating wheat. A winepress is designed for something valuable, yet he is using it for something ordinary. It is a picture of a person with high potential living far below the level God created them for.
When the angel appears, God calls Gideon a mighty warrior. In the very next verse, Gideon calls himself the weakest in his family. God sees a warrior. Gideon sees a nobody. The winepress shows what happens when your identity is shaped by fear rather than by Godβs voice.
Many of us do exactly the same. God has placed gifting, strength, talent, and calling inside us, but we choose the barley life instead of the winepress life because we measure ourselves by how we feel, not by what God says.
The moment Gideon starts to agree with Godβs version of him, everything changes. Heaven calls out the warrior long before Gideon ever acts like one.
See yourself the way God sees you. Live at the level of the winepress, not the level of the wheat.
πππ Key takeaways:
God sees your potential long before you do.
Identity shifts happen when you agree with what God says about you.
You were designed for the winepress life, not the barley life.
